Sunday’s brunches are without doubt up there with the best brunches in London, in fact I have yet to find one that beats it! Not only are they incredible (just look at that photo!) but they can cater very well for gluten free customers.
It’s one of London’s top hidden gems on a quiet residential street in Islington, if it wasn’t for the queues of excited brunchers that visit every weekend you probably wouldn’t know it was there. Make sure you arrive early or not too hungry as there is always a wait, but its definitely worth it! (Sunday do not take reservations).
On my latest visit I tried their baked eggs which came with a delicious, creamy feta sauce, fennel, kale, courgette and avocado with my added extra of bacon. I made it gluten free by swapping the bread with slices of the lovely, fresh gluten free toast. An indulgent dish that I can’t wait to go back and try again. Plenty of other things on their menu can be made gluten free by swapping the bread element, just check out their Facebook or Instagram page for the weekly menu. In my previous visits I have also tried their avocado, chilli and olive oil on gluten free toast with poached egg (and added bacon- of course!).
Not only do they do yummy brunches but on select evenings during the week they do a dinner menu, which is equally as delicious as brunch! Again the menu always changes but I tried the salmon ceviche and avocado salad which was light and fresh, then the wonderful lamb fillet with goats cheese and salad. Alot of the dishes could be made gluten free or already had no gluten ingredients. A must visit place in London!
